Coming with Pro
Each one replaces a chore that makes people give up on keeping a wine log.
Scan a label instead of typing it
Wine labels are hard to read: curved glass, fancy lettering, bad light, labels in French, German or Spanish. The AI reads the photo and fills in the wine for you.
Every detail is marked as printed on the label or as an estimate, so you can see what to double-check.

You rate savoury, peppery reds highest and mark down sweet or heavily oaked wines. Your top-rated bottles are mostly Syrah and Grenache blends at 12 to 14% ABV.
You like bright, high-acid whites with a touch of sweetness and avoid anything buttery. Riesling and Albariño dominate your four- and five-star ratings.
Sample palates built from made-up ratings.
A taste profile you can read
Ratings alone are just numbers. Winelib turns them into a short description of your palate, in words, and shows which patterns it found.
The profile updates as you rate, so it stays honest when your taste changes.
Recommendations that explain themselves
Get suggestions from bottles you own or from the wider catalogue. Each one says why it fits you, and some deliberately stretch your taste.
Crozes-Hermitage, Syrah
Peppery and savoury like the Côtes du Rhône you rated 5 stars, with a little more structure.
Close to your tasteRioja Crianza, Tempranillo
Same medium body and dried-herb notes, but softer tannin and lightly oaked.
Close to your tasteBlaufränkisch, Burgenland
Peppery like your favourites, but fresher and less alcoholic. A good first step outside the Rhône.
Worth a tryIllustrative output for a sample palate.
For anyone who drinks wine
You do not need a cellar or a certificate. You need a place to remember what you liked.
In the shop aisle
Photograph a bottle and see whether it looks like the ones you have rated highly, before you pay.
At the dinner table
Someone brought a bottle you loved. Scan it now and it is in your cellar before the plates are cleared.
With a growing collection
Hundreds of bottles, lists for tasted and wanted, notes, and an export if you ever want to leave.
Open, private and plain about what it is
Open source
The whole app is on GitHub under the MIT licence. You can read exactly how it works.
Your cellar is yours
Every collection is private to its owner. We do not sell personal data, and you can export your wines at any time.
No alcohol sales
Winelib is a record-keeping and discovery tool. It does not sell, ship or advertise alcohol, and it is meant for adults of legal drinking age.
